Infrastructure Engineer

Deliberately.ai is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join the team; As an early technical leader on our team, you’ll have a front-row seat in defining our technology stack and engineering best practices.

We’re building a cutting-edge platform that leverages AWS (including ECS), AI/LLMs, and a modern frontend approach (using HTMX). As one of our first engineering hires, you’ll be pivotal in establishing our infrastructure and ensuring everything scales securely and smoothly. We operate in a mostly remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimize AWS infrastructure (ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, etc.) to support our rapidly growing application.

• Implement and monitor security best practices (e.g., IAM policies, VPC configuration, network security groups).

• Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes to ensure fast and reliable releases.

• Drive infrastructure-as-code initiatives (e.g., using Terraform or CloudFormation).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose performance bottlenecks and optimize system reliability.

• Establish policies, frameworks, and procedures to ensure compliance and secure operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing AWS-based infrastructures at scale.

• Hands-on experience with container orchestration (AWS ECS, Docker) and microservices architecture.

• Solid grasp of networking, security, and monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog).

• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation tasks.

• Familiarity with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).

• Strong communication skills and comfort working in a startup environment.

• Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, HIPPA).
